Trump in town, Delhi traffic cop issues advisory

The Delhi Traffic Police, on Tuesday, issued advisory in view of the US President Donald Trump's two-day India visit, owing it to security reasons.

New Delhi, Feb 25 The Delhi Traffic Police, on Tuesday, issued advisory in view of the US President Donald Trump's two-day India visit, owing it to security reasons.

The Delhi Traffic police tweeted, "From forenoon till around 4 p.m. on February 25, traffic is likely to remain heavy in the areas of Moti Bagh, Chanakyapuri, India Gate, areas around ITO, Delhi Gate and adjoining areas of Central and New Delhi. Necessary Traffic diversions as per the ground situation may also be enforced,".

Talking about the traffic situation in the evening on Tuesday the traffic police said, "similarly in the evening hours on February 25, Traffic is likely to remain heavy in the area of Chanakyapuri, RML roundabout, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Cantonment, Delhi-Gurgaon Road (NH 48) and the adjoining areas. Necessary traffic diversions as per the ground situation may also be enforced."

The Delhi Traffic Police suggested, categorically to motorists to keep the advisory in mind while travelling to the areas mentioned.

The traffic cop suggested the commuters to contact Delhi Traffic police website for getting updates and traffic police helpline number +91-11-25844444 in case of any inconvenience.
