Two more corona suspects from Gurugram's upscale society

The coronavirus scare is haunting the Millennium City's upscale high-rise housing societies with a couple on Friday showing symptoms of the deadly disease.

Gurugram, March 20 The coronavirus scare is haunting the Millennium City's upscale high-rise housing societies with a couple on Friday showing symptoms of the deadly disease.

The affected couple lives in Laburnum society in DLF City. Sources said they returned from the UK on Tuesday and are in quarantine where their condition is being monitored by the district health department.

Dr Ram Prakash, the officer in-charge in Gurugram, said the couple has shown symptoms of COVID-19, "but there is no confirmation yet".

"Their blood samples are being tested and reports are expected soon. Till then, they are under close observation of our health team," said Dr Ram Prakash.

Earlier in the morning, a resident of the society uploaded an update about the couple's condition on twitter. "Unfortunately, we have the first positive case of covid-19 in Laburnum. The couple stays on Tower 3 LTH of fourth floor. The woman has been found positive of Covid 19. She along with her husband came back from UK 3 days ago," Bhargava tweeted.

Gurugram health department has scanned 2,250 suspects and four of them have so far tested positive.

The four positive cases are reported from sector 9A, Palam Vihar and Sector 50 Nirvana Country.
