Jharkhand (Sept. 23, 2024): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's car got stuck in a muddy pothole on Monday while he was attending a public rally in Bharagora. The video shows Chouhan seated inside the vehicle as his security personnel frantically try to find a way to pull the vehicle out of the pothole. One security guard, holding an umbrella, stands near the door, apparently asking Chouhan to step out. After several attempts, Chouhan eventually got out of the vehicle and walked to the side of the road.

The video has been widely shared on social media, with many users expressing their surprise at a central minister facing such a situation.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appointed Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the election in-charge for the upcoming Assembly polls in Jharkhand. Chouhan, who played a key role in the BJP's victory in Madhya Pradesh in the recent Lok Sabha Elections 2024, is currently touring Jharkhand to strengthen the party's position in the state.
Jharkhand is set to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly later this year, as the current government’s term ends in 2024. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has yet to announce the official election dates.
