Kuldeep Singh Sengar convicted in Unnao Rape Case, who was expelled from the BJP, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Tis Hazari court in Delhi. A penalty of Rs 25 lakh has also been imposed on Sengar. Soon after hearing the sentence, Sengar started crying in the court. During the argument in the court on the sentence, the lawyer on behalf of Kuldeep Sengar said that the MLA has two daughters and a wife, they have the responsibility of the family. Kuldeep Singh Sengar told the court that they are all dependent on him.

Sengar's lawyer said that he also has a loan which he had taken for his daughter's education. At the same time, the victim's family expressed satisfaction over the sentencing of life imprisonment to Sengar. The victim's family also said that Kuldeep Sengar is an MLA and he misused his position in this case. The victim's lawyer said that Kuldeep Singh should be given maximum punishment. Especially in this case, life sentence should be given without any relief.

    

The Tis Hazari court, while giving its verdict, said that Kuldeep Singh Sengar will have to deposit a fine of Rs 25 lakh within a month. Of this, compensation of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the victim. If Sengar does not deposit this amount, then his property will be seized and a fine will be charged. The victim and her family will be able to stay in a rented house provided by the Delhi Commission for Women for one year. UP government will give 15 thousand rupees every month as rent to the landlord. The CBI will make arrangements for the safety of the victim and her family and assess the danger on their lives every three months.

On July 28, 2019, the victim's 2 relatives were killed in a car accident in Gurubakhshganj police station area of ​​Rae Bareli. The victim and her lawyer driving the car were seriously injured. The victim's family alleged that Kuldeep Sengar did this accident. A case has also been registered against Sengar and others in this case. The pressure on the BJP increased after the case got attention from all over the country and Sengar was expelled from the party in August. On 10 December, the Delhi Court reserved its judgment against Kuldeep Sengar and fixed the date for pronouncement of judgment on 16 December. The court has provided security to the victim. The victim's family is living in Delhi. Delhi Women's Commission is helping them.
