In a shocking incident, five members of a family were discovered dead inside their residence in the Amanpur locality of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The deceased include Satyaveer, his wife and their three children.

According to police, the house was bolted from the inside when officers arrived at the scene. After receiving information from concerned neighbours, police personnel reached the spot and had to force open the main door to gain entry.

Inside the house, Satyaveer was found hanging, while the bodies of his wife and children were lying nearby. The disturbing discovery prompted officials to immediately call forensic experts to examine the scene. 

While preliminary indications point towards a suspected suicide, authorities have clarified that the exact cause and sequence of events will only be determined after post-mortem and forensic reports are completed.

Police have launched a detailed investigation and are exploring all possible angles. Statements of relatives and neighbours are being recorded to piece together the circumstances leading up to the tragedy. Officials have said that no final conclusion will be drawn until medical and forensic findings provide further clarity.
