A shocking incident took place in Farah, Agra, where 28-year oldman from Haryana, disguised himself as a woman and set his married lover, on fire after she refused to elope with him. The incident occurred at Victim's home in Koh village while she was alone. Accused, the brother of Rekha’s sister-in-law, had arrived around noon with petrol, planning the attack.

He entered Victim's house via the terrace, attempting to persuade her to flee with him. Upon her refusal, he doused her in petrol and ignited it. Neighbors responded to Victim's screams, while accused, attempting to escape by jumping from the terrace, sustained severe injuries. Police transported both victims, with over 70% burns and acused in critical condition, to hospitals in Farah and later Agra.

Investigations revealed victim identified as Rekha and accused Umesh were having an affair. Rekha had previously eloped with Umesh in August, resulting in a missing person report. She was located and returned home in February, ending the affair and choosing her family. In retaliation, Umesh orchestrated the attack to force her hand.
