A shocking case of crime has came to light where a 22-year old man tried to kill himself after killing his sister-in-law. This incident occurred on Sunday February 15,2026 morning around 8:30 in Uttar Pradesh, Agra. After the incident came to light both were taken to hospital where doctor declared woman dead, while accused youth is in critical condition. 

As per the TOI, initial information reveals that man attacked his sister-in-law, 22, following a confrontation the previous night as he tried to force her on Saturday night. When he threatened  to inform his brother, he killed her before attempting suicide. When family member found out, both were lying in pool of blood.

When they were taken to hospital woman was declared dead, while accused youth was in critical condition.  Forensic teams collected evidence, and the body was sent for postmortem. Deceased woman is a resident of Agra, had married the man's elder brother, 25, around three months ago. Both brothers worked at a local brick kiln.

In-laws Tried to Destroy Evidence

Mathura SSP Shlok Kumar said that the family did not inform the police initially and appeared to have attempted to destroy evidence. "The blade used in the murder was found in a stove. Bedsheets and mattresses had been washed and placed on the roof, while other items were hidden in sacks," he said.
