A brave woman confronted a thief who was trying to flee with a packet of gold ornaments from her jewelry showroom.  This courageous young woman apprehended one of the robbers and pinned him to the ground right in the middle of the streer. A video of this incident is currently going viral on social media. According to reports, two thieves entered a jewelry showroom in Ward No. 17 located within the jurisdiction of the Gola Police Station in Gorakhpur posing as customers. Under the pretext of examining jewelry, they stole 20 grams of gold ornaments and attempted to flee.

The 18-year-old daughter of the jeweler, who was present in the showroom, displayed great presence of mind and gave chase to the thieves. She managed to catch one of them. Although the thief subsequently broke free and fled, the young woman continued to pursue him for a considerable distance. During the scuffle with the thieves, the young woman also sustained an injury to her hand. Rakesh Verma owns a showroom named 'Devansh Swarnakala Kendra' in Ward No. 17, under the jurisdiction of the Gola Police Station. Rakesh procures jewelry from wholesale merchants and sells it at his shop. Rakesh has four daughters, two of whom are already married. His third daughter, Srishti (22), is scheduled to get engaged on April 29th. Rakesh had stepped out to distribute invitations for his daughter's engagement ceremony. In his absence, his youngest daughter, Amrita (18), was looking after the shop.

Amrita recounted that around 2:20 PM, two young men entered the shop posing as customers. They asked to be shown some jewelry. As soon as she displayed the ornaments, one of the young men seized the opportunity to snatch the jewelry. He made off with 20 grams of gold ornaments, estimated to be worth between ₹2.5 lakhs and ₹2.75 lakhs. He then fled the shop. Amruta rushed to try and apprehend him, but he managed to escape.

According to information provided by SP Dinesh Puri, on April 27 at 2:20 PM, within the jurisdiction of the Gola Police Station, two unidentified individuals entered a jewelry showroom under the pretext of examining a silver ring and fled with a packet of gold ornaments. Senior officials have conducted an inquiry at the scene, and the incident is clearly visible in the CCTV footage. A case has been registered based on the complaint.
