Uttar Pradesh: A 16-year-old student dies after being crushed by a dumper truck while returning from exam on cycle. This incident, on Saturday March 14, 2026 afternoon on the Tanda-Banda National Highway, near the Mahokhar School for the Visually Impaired within the Dehat Kotwali jurisdiction. 

According to reports, the driver failed to apply the brakes, causing the student to be dragged along the road for a distance of 30 feet. Following the incident their was anger in relatives and villagers from Mahokhar blocked the highway and smashed the wiondo of the vehicle.

The driver involved in the collision and the student's brother, Pushpendra, sustained injuries, the latter minor. Chandra Prakash Tiwari, In-charge of Dehat Kotwali, is attempting to pacify the road-blocking protesters.
