Uttar Pradesh:  A shocking incident of crime has came to light were a man allegedly murdered his ex-wife by slitting the throat. Later he threw acid on her friend. According to reports this incident occurred during Holi celebrations in the Azizganj area under the Kotwali police station limits

According to the police, Aarti (31) had been living separately from her husband, Manmohan Pandey, for some time, as the couple had already divorced.

Meanwhile in Mathura a 22-year old man tried to kill himself after killing his sister-in-law. This incident occurred on Sunday February 15,2026 morning around 8:30 in Uttar Pradesh, Agra. After the incident came to light both were taken to hospital where doctor declared woman dead, while accused youth is in critical condition.

Mathura SSP Shlok Kumar said that the family did not inform the police initially and appeared to have attempted to destroy evidence. "The blade used in the murder was found in a stove. Bedsheets and mattresses had been washed and placed on the roof, while other items were hidden in sacks," he said.
