In view of the rising heat, special arrangements have been made for devotees at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. A German hangar has been installed to protect those waiting in queues from the sun. The temple administration has also arranged jute mats, fans, water coolers, and medical facilities to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors. This year, the city has already begun experiencing the scorching heat typical of the month of Jeth, even in March. According to data from the Meteorological Department, temperatures in the district have been significantly above normal. However, some relief is expected over the upcoming weekend due to cloud cover and light rainfall.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8°C, which is 3.8°C above the seasonal average. The minimum temperature remained at 18.8°C, 2.7°C higher than usual. Humidity levels in the air were at 50% in the morning and dropped to 38% by evening, increasing dryness in the atmosphere.

Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said that the heat may intensify over the next two days, but from March 15, the weather is expected to change, although the sky will remain clear until then. On March 13, temperatures may rise to 37°C, potentially making it the hottest day of this season so far. On Sunday, cloud cover is expected, with a chance of light rain, which could bring the maximum temperature down to 34°C. By March 16, partly cloudy skies are likely, accompanied by one or two showers with thunder and lightning.
