A video of two policemen rescuing a drowning woman in Uttarakhand has gone viral, drawing widespread praise for their bravery and quick response.

The incident took place in Roorkee, a city in the Haridwar district. The woman, an MA student, is believed to have jumped into a canal due to mental distress. Witnesses alerted Additional Sub-Inspector Manoj Sharma and Head Constable Kripa Ram, who were patrolling as part of the "Roorkee Hawk 14" team.

Without hesitation, the officers jumped into the canal and swam towards the unconscious woman. They managed to pull her to safety and provided emergency assistance on the spot, including draining water from her stomach. She was then transported to a civil hospital for further treatment, and her family has been informed.
