A young man from Delhi suffered serious injuries after slipping on snow near Chandrashila while trekking on the Tungnath Temple route. The incident occurred in the high-altitude region, where treacherous snow-covered paths pose a significant risk to travelers.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) swiftly launched a rescue operation. The team reached the injured trekker, provided him with immediate first aid, and carefully transported him down the challenging terrain using a stretcher. From there, he was taken to the nearest hospital via ambulance for further medical attention.

The Tungnath-Chandrashila trek, popular among adventure enthusiasts and devotees, is known for its breathtaking views but also presents risks due to icy trails, especially during winter and early spring.
