Vadodara witnessed a tragic road accident on Thursday night when an allegedly drunk 20-year-old youth rammed his car into four pedestrians, leaving one woman dead and the other three seriously injured. The incident occurred in the Karelibag area. According to senior police officer Panna Momaya, the car was speeding when it struck several people.

A new video of a boy and his friend sitting in a car before the accident has surfaced on social media. In the video, we can see the Vadodara car crash accused and one of his friends arrived at the house on a scooter. Chaurasia was drinking something from a bottle. However, the exact nature of the liquid drunk by Chaurasia is not known.

The 20-year-old law student and his friends with whom he arrived at the house went upstairs. In another visual, Chaurasia and Chauhan could be seen leaving the house, reportedly after 45 minutes. The car which Chaurasia was driving at the time of the accident could also be seen in the visuals. It was parked outside the house. Then Chauhan is seen sitting in the driver's seat. However, accused asked his friend to shift to the passenger's seat next to the driver. Chauhan then shifted to the passenger seat.

About Accident:

Rakshit Chaurasia was arrested after an accident around 12:30 am on March 14 near Muktanand crossroads in Karelibaug. Eyewitnesses and CCTV footage indicate the car, reportedly speeding, hit a two-wheeler after a sharp turn. A video circulating on social media shows Chaurasia behaving erratically, allegedly drunk, shouting phrases like "another round," "Nikita, Nikita, Nikita Meri," and "Om Namah Shivay."

Chaurasia, a 20-year-old law student, attributes the accident to a pothole, denies being drunk, and claims he was driving at 50 km/hr with obstructed visibility due to an airbag. Police are investigating multiple aspects of the case, including Chaurasia's connections and potential premeditation.
