At least 15 scrap warehouses were gutted in huge blaze that broke out in Vapi aera of Valsad district in Gujarat in the early hours on Saturday, March 8, reported the news agency ANI. Total ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot after receiving distress call at the middle of night.

The fire spread to nearby warehouses, and firefighters struggled to control it. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, as officials are currently conducting dousing operations.

A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows chaos in the area, with flames everywhere. Locals and emergency rescue teams are working to douse the fire. Fire Officer Raman Parmar said, "At 3:20 am, I received a call requesting fire brigades to douse the fire... Around 10-12 godowns have been affected because of the fire. We were able to control the fire in 2 hours. There are no casualties..."
