Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradeh N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday was detained by Renigunta police at Tirupati airport in Renigunta while he was going to attend election campaigning in Chittoor district.

The police, denied permission for the TDP chief to leave the airport. Naidu sat down in protest at the airport and reportedly staged a protest against the police denying permission and not allowing him to proceed to Tirupati town. More details awaited.
