Vizag Port denies report of any tiger attack

Reports of an alleged tiger attack at Visakhapatnam Port sent netizens into a tizzy on Thursday but authorities denied that any such incident occurred.

Visakhapatnam, Feb 20 Reports of an alleged tiger attack at Visakhapatnam Port sent netizens into a tizzy on Thursday but authorities denied that any such incident occurred.

"No such incident happened at Vizag Port," Krishna Bapi Raju, Law Officer at the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, told .

The port official termed as fake the report circulated on social media along with the gory photographs of a man mauled by the tiger. It was posted that the big cat came out of a container and attacked the port crew, badly injuring a man.

It was not known where the pictures started circulating and if at all any such incident occurred.
