Two workers died at Howrah Trade Centre after an iron rod fell on their head causing serious injuries that led to their demise.  A specific case is being registered. Speaking to reporters Police Commissioner Akash Magharia confirmed the development and investigation is currently to identify if there was any negligence that caused this tragic incident.

Last week a similar incidentb was reported in Bihar as well. A migrant worker passed away after sustaining critical injuries when a cement electric pole fell on him during installation work. The deceased identified as Gaurav Kumar was rushed to Goa Medical College (GMC) for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical care. The incident has raised concerns over safety measures at work sites.

Following the incident, the Maina Curtorim police registered a case against the site supervisor for alleged negligence. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
