Football fever grips Navi Mumbai as fans eagerly await the legendary showdown between Real Madrid Legends and FC Barcelona Legends at Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium, Nerul, on April 6, 2025. With thousands expected to attend, Navi Mumbai traffic police have announced restrictions to ensure smooth traffic flow and security. Legendary players return to the pitch, promising fans a chance to relive the magic of El Clásico like never before. Carles Puyol will lead Barcelona, while Luís Figo captains Real Madrid, setting the stage for a nostalgic yet fiercely competitive battle.

To ensure smooth traffic movement and security, the Turbhe Traffic Unit has designated specific routes for the movement of players and VIPs. From 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM on April 6, public vehicles will not be allowed to move or park on the service road near the stadium and adjoining roads.

The restricted zones include the service road between Bhimashankar Society and L.P. Rickshaw Stand, as well as the L.P. Bridge, Shivaji Chowk, Shani Mandir Arch, and Bhimashankar Cut. Additionally, Raheja Universal and Mindspace have been designated as official parking zones for the event.

In an official notification, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Tirupati Kakade has enforced these restrictions under the Motor Vehicles Act to prevent congestion. Vehicles will be rerouted via the Sion-Panvel Highway between Uran Phata and L.P. Bridge to facilitate alternate travel. Other alternatives include Nerul Station via Shivaji Chowk and Palm Beach Road and a diversion from Uran Phata Bridge through Apollo Hospital.

However, essential service vehicles—including ambulances, fire brigades, police vehicles, and government-authorized transport—will be exempt from these restrictions. Additionally, vehicles with official passes issued by the football club’s management will be permitted in the restricted areas.

The Navi Mumbai Traffic Department has urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly and follow designated routes to avoid inconvenience.
