A 27-year-old ward boy at a private hospital in Kamothe has been arrested for sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy. The victim's mother was a patient at the hospital, and he was staying overnight to care for her.

The assault occurred early Friday morning while the victim was sleeping. The ward boy allegedly stripped and sexually abused the teenager. The victim awoke during the assault, recognized the accused, and later informed his parents.

A police complaint was filed Friday night, and the ward boy was subsequently arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
