In the wake of poor performance in the recent parliamentary elections, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra are adopting a cautious approach as the state assembly elections approach. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Navi Mumbai on Tuesday, October 1, for a regional party meeting and is expected to stop by an RSS unit in Koparkhairane.

Shah’s visit, aimed at strengthening party ties with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will include a discussion with Sangh pracharaks (campaigners) at their local branch, reportedly situated in a narrow lane in Koparkhairane. The meeting is expected to last nearly an hour.

As part of his statewide tour, Shah has been traveling extensively over the past fortnight to gauge the political landscape in Maharashtra. This visit comes on the heels of significant losses for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections, prompting party leaders to reevaluate their strategies and improve coordination with the RSS ahead of the assembly elections.

The schedule for Shah's visit indicates that he will engage with key Sangh workers and officials from the Konkan region, arriving at the Sangh office around 6:45 PM. Before this meeting, he will attend a gathering at the CIDCO auditorium in Vashi, which is expected to conclude around 7:30 PM.
