Direct flight operations to six cities will begin from Navi Mumbai International Airport, marking a major boost to regional air connectivity. IndiGo has announced that from March 29, it will introduce non-stop services to Ahmedabad, Goa, Rajkot, Belagavi, Kolhapur and Diu. The move is expected to ease travel for residents of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane, offering them an alternative departure hub closer to home. Airport officials said the new routes will enhance links between the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and several emerging Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, strengthening both tourism and commercial travel prospects.

The airline will deploy ATR aircraft on these newly introduced sectors, ensuring efficient operations on short-haul regional routes. Authorities confirmed that the airport’s summer schedule will be implemented by the end of March, bringing additional flights and expanded frequencies. Daily services on key routes are expected to improve flexibility for passengers planning business trips, leisure travel or family visits. Officials noted that these additions form part of IndiGo’s broader expansion strategy at the airport, aimed at building stronger domestic connectivity and supporting growing passenger demand from rapidly developing urban centres.

Detailed flight timings have also been released for select destinations. The Ahmedabad service will depart daily at 7:10 pm and land in Navi Mumbai at 8:40 pm, while the return flight will leave at 9:10 pm and reach Ahmedabad by 10:35 pm. Morning connectivity to Rajkot will see departures from Navi Mumbai at 7:00 am, arriving at 8:15 am, with the return flight leaving at 8:45 am and landing at 9:45 am. The Diu flight will depart at 10:05 am, arrive at 11:15 am, and operate a return service at 11:40 am each day.

Schedules for Belagavi and Kolhapur routes are expected to be announced shortly. Meanwhile, round-the-clock flight movements have been operational at Navi Mumbai International Airport since February 1, enabling airlines to plan flexible departures and arrivals throughout the day. Commercial passenger services at the airport originally commenced on December 25, 2025, and officials report a strong response from travellers since then. With passenger traffic steadily rising, authorities have also indicated that dedicated cargo operations are likely to begin soon, further strengthening the airport’s role as a growing aviation hub.
