Navi Mumbai: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has postponed the computerized lottery draw for its "My Preferred CIDCO Home" housing scheme, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Taloja. The rescheduled date will be announced soon.
According to CIDCO’s Public Relations Department, the draw has been postponed, but no reason has been provided for the delay.
Launched on October 12, 2024, the "My Preferred CIDCO Home" scheme offered 26,000 tenements under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) categories, in line with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The tenements are spread across Vashi, Bamandongri, Kharkopar, Kharghar, Kharghar East (Taloja), Mansarovar, Khandeshwar, Panvel, and Kalamboli nodes of Navi Mumbai.
A key highlight of the scheme was its flexibility, allowing applicants to select up to 15 tenements of their choice, making it one of CIDCO’s most adaptable housing initiatives. The scheme received an overwhelming response from homebuyers.
CIDCO has already released the final list of valid applicants for the draw, confirming 21,399 valid applications for the 26,000 available homes. Despite four extensions of the registration and booking payment deadlines, CIDCO struggled to receive applications matching the total number of homes. The draft list of applicants who successfully paid the booking amount was published on January 3, 2025, with no changes in the number of applicants in the final list. The new date for the lottery draw will be announced soon.
