Navi Mumbai – The vigilance team of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) caught a dumper truck dumping hazardous debris in Sector 17, New Panvel (West), last week. The debris was being illegally dumped on land acquired or in the process of acquisition by CIDCO. A police complaint has been filed at the Kamothe police station.

The driver, identified as Ankush Kashiram Pawar, 20, a resident of Chotakhanda village, was found unloading soil and construction waste that posed significant health and environmental risks.

This action follows increasing concerns over the illegal dumping of debris on CIDCO lands. In response, Kamothe police have registered a case against Pawar under Section 20 of the B.N.S. 2013 Criminal Procedure Code.

CIDCO has urged the public to report any instances of unauthorized debris dumping through their official website at www.cidco.mshareshita.gov.in or directly to the police. The corporation remains committed to safeguarding the environment and public health in Navi Mumbai.
