Navi Mumbai– In a shocking incident, the body of a young woman was found at the New Mini Mahal Lodge in Shiravane village, Nerul, on Thursday morning. The woman had checked into the lodge around 3 AM with a man, but by 9:30 AM, police were alerted to her death in a third-floor room.
According to police officials, both individuals were wearing masks, making identification difficult. Further investigation revealed that the Aadhaar cards they submitted as ID proof were fake.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mayur Bhujbal confirmed the incident, stating, “Around 2 AM to 2:30 AM, a couple checked into the lodge, and by morning, the woman’s body was found.” He added that preliminary findings suggest the excessive use of a sexual stimulant may have been a factor in her death. “We are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering further details from the lodge and nearby areas,” Bhujbal said.
The incident has sparked outrage among residents of Shiravane, who are now demanding strict action against illegal activities allegedly taking place at the lodge. Local authorities are under pressure to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure accountability.
Police have intensified their probe to track down the man who accompanied the woman, while forensic reports are awaited to determine the exact cause of death.
