A high-speed Innova car displaying a “Police” name plate allegedly crashed into multiple vehicles in Navi Mumbai, creating panic in the area. The incident occurred near Karave village when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. According to media reports, the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The speeding car rammed into several parked and moving vehicles, including two-wheelers, leaving many of them badly damaged. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, though the impact caused significant property damage. The incident quickly drew the attention of local residents, who rushed to the spot after hearing the loud crash and chaos on the road.

A video circulated by Navrashtra.com showed a large crowd surrounding the damaged Innova, with locals confronting and allegedly assaulting the driver in anger. The footage also revealed that the car was fitted with a “Police” name plate, raising serious concerns about misuse of authority symbols. During a search of the vehicle, an identity card belonging to Mumbai Police Senior Inspector Arun Baban Pokharkar was reportedly found inside. However, the man seen being thrashed by residents did not resemble the photograph on the police ID card, deepening the mystery. Police have begun a detailed investigation to establish the identity of the driver and to determine how he came into possession of the police identity card and the vehicle’s name plate.

Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai has also been shaken by another shocking incident involving the death of a young woman in Vashi. A 21-year-old resident of Juhu Gaon, identified as Prachiti Bhuvad, was declared dead after allegedly being administered injections at her home by a man impersonating a doctor. According to the complaint, Prachiti was suffering from polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), following which her family called Sandesh alias Sandeep Pashte for treatment. After examining her medical reports and hearing complaints of vomiting and body pain, he administered Emeset and Dynapar injections. Shortly after, Prachiti became unconscious. When she failed to respond, her family rushed her to PKC Hospital, where doctors declared her dead before admission. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are probing the matter further.
