Airoli: A major fire broke out at the Milona Lodging and Boarding facility in Sector 9, Airoli, on Sunday afternoon, causing significant property damage. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM when a short circuit in the signboard of the lodging sparked a fire. The flames quickly spread to the ground floor, igniting furniture and other materials.

Alert staff members acted fast, evacuating all occupants from the premises before the fire could escalate further. The Airoli Fire Brigade responded promptly and brought the fire under control, preventing a major disaster.

According to Fire Officer Sandesh Channe, the blaze was triggered by an electrical short circuit in the signage system.
