A massive fire broke out in the dry bushes near the Sanpada train car shed on Tuesday morning. While no injuries were reported, the intensity of the fire was high, raising concerns about security along the railway tracks.

According to an official from the Vashi Fire Brigade, they received a fire call at around 11:42 a.m., and firefighting efforts are still ongoing. The Vashi Fire Brigade has deployed two fire engines to the site. “The fire started in the dry bushes and spread quickly. However, no injuries have been reported as the area is not easily accessible to the general public,” said an official from the fire brigade.

The affected area lies between Vashi station and the Sanpada car shed. Due to the heat, grass that had grown during the monsoon has dried up. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
