The case of the rape of a 12-year-old girl, who was found abandoned in a bush near the railway tracks some distance from Vashi station, has been transferred to the Vashi police from the Railway Police. The Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP) initially registered the case after the incident was reported.  

The initial investigation revealed that the homeless minor girl was raped in a bush along the railway tracks. It was later discovered that the victim had gone missing from the Mumbra area.

Last month, the Vashi Railway Police found the 12-year-old girl at Ghansoli station. A medical examination confirmed that she had been raped. Further questioning by the Vashi Railway Police revealed that the rape occurred in a bush near the tracks, some distance from Vashi station. The police investigation is ongoing.

According to the police, the victim, who has developmental delays, had left her home to attend a fair and did not return. A missing person report was filed with the local police.
