The Navi Mumbai Traffic Department has issued a notification restricting the movement and parking of heavy vehicles across the city on April 6, 2025. This measure aims to facilitate the smooth movement of players, VIPs, and spectators attending the highly anticipated football match between Real Madrid Legends and FC Barcelona Legends at Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium, Nerul.

According to the notification, all heavy and oversized goods transport vehicles will be banned from entering, passing through, or parking anywhere within the Navi Mumbai jurisdiction from 2 PM to midnight on April 6. This decision follows a report from the Senior Police Inspector of the Turbhe Traffic Division, citing concerns over potential traffic congestion and security risks around the stadium on match day.

The restriction does not apply to vehicles carrying essential goods, police and emergency services, government vehicles, and those with official passes issued by the football clubs’ management.

The match between Real Madrid Legends and FC Barcelona Legends is expected to draw a massive crowd, with football fans eager to witness some of the biggest names in the sport relive their glory days. Carles Puyol will captain Barcelona, while Luís Figo will lead Real Madrid, setting the stage for an exciting and nostalgic El Clásico showdown. With thousands of spectators expected, traffic management remains a top priority for city authorities. The public is advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
