Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has taken strict action against unauthorized constructions at sector 15 in Belapur and removed multiple structures. Following repeated notices under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning (MRTP) Act, the Encroachment Department conducted a demolition drive against illegal structures that had continued despite prior warnings.

The encroachment team targeted unauthorized constructions at A-Wing, Office No. 12, 13A, and 14, located on the second floor of Mahesh Building, Sector 15, CBD Belapur. These premises, belonging to Manish Kukreja and others, had received multiple notices to remove illegal extensions, but the violations persisted.

To enforce compliance, NMMC's Belapur office deployed a dedicated team led by Assistant Commissioner Dr. Amol Palve. The operation involved junior engineers, encroachment officials, laborers, hammers, a gas cutter, and police personnel to ensure smooth execution.

NMMC has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling illegal constructions across the city and warned that similar crackdowns will continue to maintain urban order.

The operation was carried out under the directives of NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, with supervision from Additional Commissioner Dr. Rahul Gethe and Deputy Commissioner (Encroachment) Bhagwat Doifode.
