Panvel: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has identified seven unauthorised primary schools operating without government approval within its jurisdiction, five of which are located in Taloja. The civic body has stated that strict action will be taken against these institutions.

Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale has urged parents not to enroll their children in these unrecognized schools, warning that students currently studying there will be relocated to approved institutions.

To prevent new enrollments in unauthorised schools, the PMC has released this list ahead of the new academic year.

Deputy Commissioner Prasenjit Karlekar reinforced the directive, advising parents to ensure their children are admitted only to recognized schools. He also assured that students currently enrolled in unauthorized institutions would be accommodated in nearby approved schools.

Meanwhile, Education Officer Ramesh Chavan emphasized that any additional unauthorized schools identified in the future would be publicly named, and appropriate action would be taken.

The PMC’s initiative aims to safeguard students’ educational rights and uphold the integrity of the city’s academic institutions.

The seven unauthorised schools identified are:

·  Marshmallows International School, Owe

·  Kalsekar English Medium School, Taloja Panchanand

·  Arkam English School, Taloja

·  Ocean Bright Convent School, Taloja

·  Oxford English Medium School, Kalamboli

·  Bajaj International School, Taloja

·  The West Hill High International School, Taloja
