Remember the iconic movie 'Dangal'? Which inspired many father's and daughters to presure their dreams well, we bet you do and this life-changing film is based on real life story. Well we all know Geeta Phogat's character in the film but today the real life Geeta Phogat is celebrating her birthday. Yes, the woman who won first gold medal in the at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 turned 32 today and on the occasion of this special day here's some of her life facts. 

• The freestyle wrestler born on born in Balali village of Charkhi Dadri district, Haryana on 15 December 1988. 

• She learnt wrestling from her father Mahavir Singh Phogat. He was her coach throughout Geeta journey. Mahavir himself was a wrestler.

• Her sister Babita Kumari and cousin Vinesh Phogat are also Commonwealth Games gold medalists.

• Another younger sister of her is also an international level wrestler and has won a gold medal at the 2016 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship her name is Ritu Phogat. Her youngest sister, Sangita Phogat is also a wrestler.

• Geeta got her first success in wrestling when she won the Gold Medal in the Commonwealth Video games 2010. She played in 51 kg class.

• In 2012 she was the bronze medal in World Wrestling Championships. Where she played against wrestler Russia's Maria Gurova.

• Geeta Phogat got married to her fellow wrestler Pawan in November 2018.

• Aamir Khan' film 'Dangal' is hugely based on Phogat family and their daughters. In which Geeta's part was played by Fatima Sana Sheikh.
