Bengaluru, Oct 24: The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) announced a revised team for the upcoming 37th National Games scheduled to take place in Goa from October 30 to November 6.

“There have been some exemplary performances from the Karnataka boys in the recently concluded ITF Dharwad Men’s WTT and the ongoing ITF Davangere Men’s WTT. Considering the form and talent, we had a re-look at the team before finalising the same,” said, Secretary, Maheshwar Rao.

P. Gopinath will be the non-playing captain for the men’s team while Asha Nandkumar has been appointed as the non-playing captain of the women’s team. Niranjan Ramesh will be the team’s coach.

“Our players had won eight medals for the State during the last National Games in Gujarat. We are hoping to emulate the medal tally and we wish the teams all the best as they prepare to represent Karnataka and compete for glory,” added Maheshwar Rao.

The teams are set to undergo a training camp before they embark to Goa.
