Hangzhou [China], October 26 : Indian athlete Muthuraja continued his country's brilliant run in para-athletics at the ongoing Para Asian Games in Hangzhou, winning a bronze medal in men's shot put F-55 category on Thursday.

In the medal match, Muthuraja achieved a throw of 10.42 m, his personal best so far. The gold medal went to Zaker Zafar of Iran, with throw of 11.16 m and the gold also went to Iran with Amiri Hamed achieving the best throw of 11.27 m. '

Now, India has won a total of 81 medals, with 18 gold, 23 silver and 40 bronze medals.

In the 2018 edition of the games in Indonesia, India won 72 medals, consisting of 15 gold, 24 silver and 33 bronze. But India has outdone itself in Hangzhou, securing their best-ever medal tally at the games.

India has won 45 medals in para-athletics itself, with 14 golds, 16 silvers and 15 bronze medals.

The fourth edition of the Para Asian Games started in Hangzhou from October 22 and will go on till October 28.
