New Delhi, April 4 A total of ten teams are competing in an exciting six-a-side tennis ball cricket tournament, organised by Victorious Endeavours, currently underway at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Siri Fort Complex, marking yet another step in the rapid rise of tennis ball cricket at the grassroots level.

The tournament, which began on Saturday, has already witnessed a series of closely fought encounters on Day 1 that have drawn attention from visitors. With a fast-paced format, the matches deliver high entertainment value. The final is scheduled to be played on Sunday.

Backed by Victorious Endeavours, the multi-team competition carries significant incentives for participants. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh along with a trophy and certificates, adding further motivation for teams to deliver their best performances.

The participating teams include South Zone Gamers, Sainik Farm Blasters, Blue Warriors, South Zone Royals, Star XI, Dhurandhar, Krish Fitness, Befikre, Thar Eleven, and SFSC-DDA. With a mix of experienced local players and emerging talent, the tournament promises a blend of skill, strategy, and high-intensity cricket.

Beyond the on-field action, the tournament also reflects the growing stature of tennis ball cricket in India. What was once largely seen as a casual activity has now evolved into a structured and competitive ecosystem.

Across the country, similar tournaments are being organised with substantial prize money, attracting players looking to showcase their abilities while also earning financial rewards.

The rise of digital platforms connecting players with teams and facilitating match opportunities has further accelerated this transformation, with live streaming of matches also easily available for the viewers online.

Additionally, such tournaments are increasingly drawing local sponsorships, as businesses recognise the value of engaging directly with community audiences.
