Mumbai, Dec 6 Yash Mumbai Eagles and Hyderabad Strikers took the top two positions by winning their respective matches on another enthralling day of action in the Tennis Premier League Season 6 at the Cricket Club of India here on Friday. Yash Mumbai Eagles moved to the top of the table after completing a clean sweep against Chennai Smashers on Friday.
With the battle for the qualification spots heating up, Bengal Wizards and Gujarat Panthers faced off in the first game. The day started with a thrilling match between Ekaterina Kazionova and Kamilla Rakhimova with the former clinching a 13-12 win in the Women’s Singles category. Sumit Nagal got the better of Niki Poonacha in the Men’s Singles category, winning by a scoreline of 16-9.
In the Mixed Doubles category, the Bengal Wizards duo of Kamilla Rakhimova and Sriram Balaji won 15–10 against Ekaterina Kazionova and Siddhant Banthia. At the end of day four, Yash Mumbai Eagles top the points table with 215 points. Hyderabad Strikers are hot on their heels in second place with 211 points. Rajasthan Rangers sit in third place, followed by Gujarat Panthers in fourth place with 205 and 201 points respectively.
