Healthy diet plays an important role in strengthening the internal system of the child. Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar and her team share some important tips to boost immunity in kids. She shared 5 foods that need to be included in your child's diet.

Try to include at least one seasonal fruit in your child's diet. If they do not like to eat whole fruits, then give them a piece of these fruits as well. This will encourage them to grow the good bacteria of the gut.

It is very important for everyone to eat something healthy and nutritious between 4 pm to 6 pm. Offering some sweet and simple food like roti, ghee and jaggery rolls or semolina pudding or ragi laddoos can help them stay energized.

Include rice in your child's diet. It is easy to digest and it is delicious too. Rice is rich in many nutrients, but the most important is a certain type of amino acid present in it. Lentils, rice and ghee are the best options for kids' food.
5 / 9
Give homemade pickles or chutneys or murabbas to children daily. These side dishes will help their gut bacteria thrive, boost their immunity and help them stay happy.
6 / 9
Give children a handful of cashew nuts daily. A handful of cashews will provide essential micronutrients to keep them active and energetic. This will help reduce the pain.
7 / 9
Sleep plays an important role in maintaining immunity and health. It reduces the risk of obesity and helps in curbing the craving for unhealthy foods. So let the child get enough sleep.
8 / 9
Avoid all types of processed or junk food. These foods are loaded with trans fats and contain minimal nutrients. Even packaged foods that are labeled as healthy are not healthy.

Being physically active is another important lifestyle habit that helps you stay fit and active. Exercising boosts metabolism and reduces the risk of developing chronic diseases.
