New Packaging Rule: Government has changed the rules of packaged food items

Now buying Packaging items is all safe to go the central government is considering giving you a big boost. In April next year, the government will implement the New Packaging Rule.

According to the rules, manufacturing companies will have to write the rate per unit/per kg on the packet along with the MRP.

This means that if any packaged item weighs less than 1 kg or 1 liter, the rate will have to be written per gram or per milliliter instead of MRP.

Similarly, if any packet contains more than 1 kg of luggage, its price will have to be written on it. The package will be priced at the same price as the item Depart. This will save you a lot of money and fraud.

The Government of India has made changes in the Legal Metrology (Packet Commodity Rules). It contains 19 types of items like milk, tea, biscuits, edible oil, flour, soft drinks, water, baby food, pulses and food grains, cement bags, bread, soap, etc.

Material companies will now be given complete freedom to decide how many kilograms or grams of pouches to make. Along with this, another big change has been made.

It is mandatory to write the month or year of manufacture on the imported goods. It is currently mandatory to specify the date or year of import.

An official of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs said that the quality of any product can be determined according to its manufacturing date. This makes it necessary to write the date of manufacture on the imported product.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has notified changes in the rules. Now customers will know how much they have to pay per gram. It will also make it easier for companies to provide real information.
