Abhyuday, IIT Bombay Successfully Conducted Powai Lake Clean-up Campaign on 4th June, 2023

IIT-Bombay’s Abhyuday team conducted a clean-up drive on Sunday, 4th June 2023 at Powai Lake.

Around 400 volunteers from IIT Bombay cleared approximately 3 tonnes of garbage on a 2 km stretch along the shoreline of Powai Lake for the occasion of World Environment Day. The event was done in collaboration with UNICEF India and Project Mumbai.

The goal of cleaning the lake's shoreline is to create a cleaner, greener and healthier environment. It is our responsibility to look after one of the most beautiful attractions of IIT Bombay” Team Abhyuday said.

The efforts were backed by local residents and IIT faculties also by participating in the clean-up drive.
