Maharashtra Unlock: Restrictions will be reduced in 25 districts in the state where covid cases are low

An important meeting was held on Thursday, July 29 in the presence of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Health Minister Rajesh Tope informed that there was a discussion on easing lockdown in 25 districts of the state.

Corona growth rate is low in 25 districts of the state. The task force has also played a positive role in easing the lockdown in these 25 districts. Accordingly, an order in this regard has also been prepared. Only this order has to be signed by the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister was on a visit to Kolhapur on Thursday. Therefore, this order could not be signed. Therefore, the order is likely to be signed by the Chief Minister today and it is being reported that the lockdown in the state will be relaxed from August 1.

According to Marathi news channels, restrictions will be relaxed in 25 districts in the state where the number of corona patients is low. The shops will be allowed to remain open till 8 pm. Hotels, restaurants and malls will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity. But the people and traders of the state are waiting for this order.

Meanwhile, it is being tested whether fully vaccinated people can travel by train, but considering the possibility of a third wave, the Chief Minister will take a decision after discussing with the railway department, said Rajesh Tope. A decision on the railways will be taken in the next two to three days, Tope said.

As 11 out of 36 districts in the state are above the net average, no restrictions will be relaxed. However, in other districts the restrictions are level 3. Instructions have been given to the Chief Minister through the Health Department. The third wave has started in many countries of the world.

Mortality is lower due to vaccination. Vaccination is happening fast. The economic cycle should continue, so restrictions will be relaxed. The state is ready for the third wave. I don't think there will be a third wave, but the government has made ample preparations, said Rajesh Tope.
