In the last week of March, the government had decided to increase the DA of central employees by 4 percent. Now the government is planning to give another gift to the central employees in the coming days.

After this change, there will be a bumper increase in the salary of central employees. Sources claim that this time also the government will increase the DA of central employees by 4 percent and it will increase to 46 percent.

A 4 percent DA hike has been announced by the government in March 2023. After this, the dearness allowance has increased to 42 percent. This increase has been implemented by the government from January 1. Now the next DA will be applicable from 1st July. Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) are expected to increase by four percent for the second half. At present the DA is 42 per cent. The DA applicable from July 1 is expected to increase to 46 percent.

Every time the DA of the second half is announced in September-October. But this time it is expected that the increased DA will be announced in August. An increase of 4 percent has already been announced for the first half of the year.

If the DA of central employees is increased to 46 percent in the second half, then the salary will also increase accordingly.

For example, if a central employee currently has a basic pay of Rs 18,000 and currently gets DA Rs 7560 at the rate of 42 percent.

If his DA increases to 46 percent, then the dearness allowance of the employee will be Rs.8,280. In this way, every month there will be an increase of Rs 720 (Rs 8640 annually).
