BJP election victory make investors richer by over Rs 6 lakh crore

The impact of BJP's victory in the assembly elections in three states was also seen in the stock market. On Monday, December 4, the Indian stock market closed with a record increase of 6 lakhs. Sensex surges 1,400 points, Nifty jumps 430 points.

In today's session, banking as well as government companies have seen a sharp rise. Investor wealth has increased by Rs 6 lakh crore in a single session.

At the close of trading today, the BSE Sensex gained 1384 points to close at 68,865 points, while the National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 20,686 points with a gain of 419 points.

The Nifty is at a historic high. On the other hand, the Bank Nifty rose by 1668 points to 46,484 points. The Nifty mid-cap index and the small-cap index also closed at their lifetime highs.

In today's trend, shares of both government and semi-government banks have seen an increase. Large-scale purchases have also been seen in government companies. Of the 30 stocks in the Sensex pack, 25 ended with gains and 5 declined. On the other hand, 45 stocks of Nifty closed with a gain and 5 declined.

Market cap of BSE-listed companies closed at a historic high due to the strong rise in the stock market. In today's trade, this market cap was Rs 343.45 lakh crore. In the previous session, the market cap was Rs 337.53 lakh crore.
