Govt extends Aadhaar-Ration card linking deadline to June 30

If you are also a ration holder then 30th June is very important date for you. The central government has said that those receiving free ration must remember the date of June 30.

Otherwise, you may face difficulty in getting free ration facilities later. Aadhaar and ration card must be linked.

According to the Food and Public Distribution Department, the date of linking of ration cards is nearing.

A notification has also been issued by the government in this regard. After linking the ration card and Aadhaar card, it will be easier to ensure that the needy are getting their share of grains.

Earlier the date to link ration with Aadhaar was 31st March and then it was extended to 30th June and now you have only 30 days left.

Ever since the government announced the ration card as One Nation-One Ration, the emphasis has been on linking the ration card with Aadhaar.

Go to the official Public Distribution System (PDS) portal of your state. Select Aadhaar link with active card. Enter your ration card number and then Aadhaar card number. Enter your registered mobile number.

Select the Continue/Submit button. Now you will get an OTP on your mobile. Enter the OTP on the Aadhaar Ration Link page and your request is now submitted. After the process is completed, you will receive an SMS informing about it.
