Indian Railways to offer luxury rooms to passengers

If you are traveling by train and have a confirmed railway ticket, you can stay in a luxurious room for 48 hours for just Rs 40. Indian Railways Retiring Rooms provide you with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. You will find this facility at most major stations.

Trains often run late in winter. This causes great inconvenience to the passengers. There have been reports of many passengers losing their lives due to the cold. But that won’t happen now. Because IRCTC has started this service keeping in mind the convenience of passengers.

Indian Railways has created luxury retiring rooms considering the facilities provided to the passengers. You need to have PNR number to book this room. You get this facility in the retiring room of the railway. You can wait for your train in this room for up to 48 hours. For this you need to spend only 20 to 40 rupees. But the facility is just like a five star hotel.

Retiring room facilities are available at important and major railway stations of the country like New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune. You can book the room with the help of the PNR number of the ticket. You can book AC and Non AC rooms as per your convenience.

Retiring rooms are allotted on first come first served basis. If the retiring rooms are full, your name is put on the waiting list and your booking is upgraded as soon as the rooms become vacant.

To book a retiring room, visit IRCTC’s official website irctctourism.com. On the homepage you can click on Indian Railways Retiring Room to see if the retiring room facility is available at the respective station.

Click on the Retiring Room Booking option of the respective station. Mention your PNR number and Aadhaar number here. After that select the option of Delux/AC/Non AC

After complete information, click on booking option and pay the fee. Once your booking is accepted, IRCTC will send you retired room number and location information to the registered mobile number. These retiring rooms can be booked for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 48 hours. AC deluxe, AC and normal room options are also provided.
