The Income Tax Department has added a QR code to the PAN card. To identify whether the PAN card is authorized or not.

This can be done by scanning the QR code on the smartphone. However, for that, you have to download the Income Tax Department app on your mobile.

Go to the Income Tax e-filing portal. Click on Verify Your Pane option. This will start a new page. Enter mobile number, date of birth, and card number on it.

After which a message will come on the mobile phone, If the card is forged, a complaint can be lodged by the Income Tax Department.
