Nation mourns the brutal killing of pregnant elephant in Kerala, who ate pineapple filled with crackers

In the corona pandemic people saw God in man, but yesterday's incident in Kerala has raised questions about humanity. A hungry elephant in Kerala went to a colony in Malappuram, Kerala, hoping to get something to eat.

But the people there gave her some pineapple crackers. The locals had set fire rockets and bombs in the food covered with pineapple. The hungry elephant was slow to realize this and ate the food as a pineapple.

The firecrackers exploded in her mouth. With unbearable pain, she ran away and stood in a river. The elephant stood in the water for several hours immediately.

B.T Srinivasan, the General secretary of the United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations Hyderabad, has announced a cash reward of Rs. 2 lakh to any person who can help identify the killers of pregnant elephant in Kerala.

Meanwhile, Humane Society International/India has offered `50,000 to informers for help with the identification, leading to the conviction of the accused.

Forest officials opined that investigation into such cases was very tough.'It is very difficult to gather information in such incidents. Locating the place where they meet with such fate is not easy as the herd of wild elephants travels several kilometers a day.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said strict action would be taken against those responsible for the elephant's death. '
