Voter ID card: A voter ID card is one of the important documents. This document is to be issued to Indian citizens by the Election Commission. It also serves as an identity card or proof of address for citizens of India.

This card can be used not only for voting but also for other purposes. According to the Election Commission of India, every eligible Indian citizen can have a voter ID card.

Now the assembly elections are going to be held in some states of the country soon, if someone has moved to another locality and is eligible for voting then they have to change their address.

The process of changing this address is simple. You can also change this address both online and offline. If you want to change the address offline, you will need to fill out a form and submit the required documents.

If you want to change your home address online, you need to follow a few simple steps. For this, you have to first go to www.nvsp.in and log in.

If you are going to live in any other constituency then you have to click on Form 6 under 'Online Application for Registration of New Voter / Transfer from AC to AC'. If you have moved to another area in the same constituency, you should apply on Form 8A.

Fill in the required information like your name, date of birth, state, region, current address. Some of these information like email, mobile number are optional.

Then submit the online form along with the required documents. Fill in the declaration option and enter the captcha. Click on the Submit tab to verify the details that appear there.
