The lockdown has been extended for another two weeks in the country to curb the growing infection of coronavirus. The country will have a lockdown from May 4 to May 17. This will include a strict curfew in the red zone. So businesses are allowed to start in the green zone.

The central government has given permission to open liquor shops in the third phase of the lockdown. In Lockdown-3, the government has laid down certain conditions for opening liquor shops.

Amrit Kiran Singh, chairman of the International Spirits and Wine Association of India, has reacted to the demand for online liquor sales.

“We will launch Safe Shield,” said Amrit Kiran Singh. This means that trays will be placed on the count and sold without contact.

The second phase of Safe Shield will discuss home delivery of liquor. This will be done with the help of online platforms like Swiggy or Zomato, said Amrit Kiran Singh. .

Amrit Kiran Singh has also claimed that if all the rules are followed, the states will get 75 per cent revenue.
