1 / 12Two hundred special trains will run across the country from today. These services will be in addition to Shramik Special trains and 30 Special AC trains. Railway Ministry said, more than one lakh 45 thousand passengers will travel on day one.2 / 12Around 26 lakh passengers have booked their tickets for Advance Reservation Period 1st to 30th June. These trains are fully reserved trains having both AC and Non AC classes. General coaches have reserved sitting accommodation. AIR Correspondent reports that there will be no unreserved coach in the train.3 / 12The passengers will have to reach the station 90 minutes in advance to facilitate thermal screening at the station. All passengers will be screened and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the train.4 / 12Only passengers with confirmed and RAC tickets will be allowed to enter the Railway Station and board the train. All passengers will have to wear face masks and observe social distancing during travel.5 / 12On arrival at their destination, the travelling passengers will adhere to such health protocols as are prescribed by the destination State and Union territories.6 / 12No Linen, blankets and curtains will be provided inside the train. Use of Aarogya Setu App will be mandatory for all passengers.7 / 12Online Booking of tickets for these trains is being done through IRCTC website or through Mobile App. Railways has also allowed booking of reservation tickets through the reservation counters.8 / 12Common Service Centers and Ticketing agents booking of Tatkal ticket can be done from 29th June for journey date 30 June and onwards. 9 / 12These trains also include the popular trains such as Durontos, Sampark Krantis, Jan Shatabdis and Poorva Express and more. Railways also said that these will have both AC and non-AC classes and fully reserved coaches.10 / 12However, certain states like Jharkhand, Andhra, Maharashtra expressed reservations about running special trains planned from June 1 for which the mater is being discussed, Railways said.11 / 12The Ministry has also said that booking of Parcel and luggage shall be permitted in all these 230 trains, which include the 15 pairs of trains that are already running since early May.12 / 12Moreover, current booking, Tatkal quota allocation of seats to road side stations etc. to be same as in regular time tabled trains, the ministry added. Passengers have been asked to reach station 90 minutes before departure to get thermal scanning in the wake of coronavirus.
